Agricultural Water Management Plan

TID has been actively involved in agricultural water management planning efforts since it joined the Agricultural Water Management Council (AWMC) in April 1997.

The District's current Agricultural Water Management Plan (AWMP) was adopted on November 10, 2015 and evaluates water use within the District and applicable management practices to make the best use of available resources. The current plan also addresses the AWMP requirements established by the Governor in Executive Order B-29-15 (April 1, 2015).

The 2015 AWMP describes TID’s water supplies and irrigation demand, local conditions, facilities and operations, rules and policies, and a variety of water management activities, including a series of efficient water management practices (EWMPs) designed to improve water use efficiency. The AWMP documents how TID is complying with current law (SBX7-7), and proposes improvements, if needed, to meet new requirements. A link to the AWMP appears below.

Copies of the 2015 plan are also available at the TID main office (333 E. Canal Dr., Turlock, CA  95380), and at local public libraries throughout the TID service area.
