TID invests in the development of a number of innovative projects that range from diversified ways of generating power to the introduction of more intuitive meters. These projects are key to TID's goal of providing safe, affordable and dependable energy to its customers.

Almond 2 Power Plant

The completion of Almond 2 Power Plant (A2PP) adds 174 megawatts of generation and enhance the District's internal generation.

SMART Meters

TID is replacing existing retail electric meters with new meters designed to provide a range of customer benefits while increasing operational efficiencies at TID.

Hughson-Grayson Transmission & Substation

TID has completed significant portions of a new double-circuit 115-kV transmission line and substation project.
