LIHEAP Energy Assistance Programs
The LIHEAP assistance program is a federally funded program that helps those in both struggling and lower income households pay their home energy bills. The program assists lower income families and households meet their immediate home energy needs.
The program gives priority to those families with the highest home energy needs; which typically are lower income households with high energy bills and/or the presence of a vulnerable individual in the household, such as a family member that is disabled, a young child or a senior.
Qualification is based on income and number of people in the home:

The following items must be presented at the appointment:
- Picture ID
- Social Security Cards for all members of the household
- Proof of previous month’s income
- Most recent TID & PG&E Bill
